IGNATIAN SPIRITUALITY PROGRAM
In today's session of the ongoing Ignatian Spirituality Program, Father Terry Charlton held an inspiring and reflective session with our Grade 10 students, guiding them through the essential qualities of a Jesuit high school graduate. Drawing from the rich tradition of Jesuit education founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola, he emphasized the call to become men and women for others—individuals committed to faith, justice, integrity, and service. Father Terry encouraged the students to cultivate intellectual competence, moral responsibility, and a deep spiritual foundation, reminding them that academic excellence must always be accompanied by character formation and compassion for others.
He further challenged the students to live out the Jesuit ideals of being open to growth, religious, loving, intellectually competent, and committed to doing justice. Through practical examples and heartfelt reflections, Father Terry helped the learners understand that being a Jesuit graduate is not just about completing school, but about becoming transformative leaders in society. The session was both enlightening and motivating, leaving the Grade 10 class with a renewed sense of purpose and a clearer vision of the kind of persons they are called to become.
