Our school community gathered in a spirit of reverence and reflection to mark Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten season. It was a solemn and meaningful occasion that reminded us of the importance of repentance, humility, and spiritual renewal.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Father Terry and Father John, who guided us through the liturgy with deep devotion and clarity. In their homilies, they emphasized the significance of Lent as a time for prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. They encouraged students and staff alike to examine their lives, seek reconciliation, and grow closer to God during this sacred season.
During the imposition of ashes, each member of the school community received ashes on the forehead as a sign of repentance and a reminder of our call to conversion. The symbolic words, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return,” echoed through the congregation, inviting us to reflect on our spiritual journey.
The celebration was marked by active participation from students through readings, choir presentations, and altar service. The atmosphere was prayerful and reflective, setting a strong foundation for the Lenten journey ahead.
We sincerely thank Father Terry and Father John for presiding over the Mass and for nurturing our spiritual growth. May this Lenten season be a time of true transformation for our entire school community.
