The Graduates Program
The graduates’ program is an after high school initiative designed to journey with our students until university completion. We strive to develop and mold our graduates to be assertive and competitive global citizens. To achieve this, the graduates participate in different programs for skill and personal development, career discovery and college preparation.
Community Service
All our graduates participate in a service of love through volunteering and giving back to the community for six months! This pre-tertiary period is a session of continued self-discovery and learning. Our graduates are placed in different organization in Kibera and its environs based on their career preferences and availability.
They volunteer from Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Immersed into these organizations, they learn how they work, develop interpersonal and social skills, network and grow in empathy. Friday’s are fun moments, they meet for group reflections, sharing and catchup over a cup of tea. Reflections are moments of enlightenment, acknowledging the sufferings of our community and applauding one another for their selflessness. Community service volunteering comes to a close at the end of June with a short ceremony of the Holy Mass, issuance of certificate of service and a shared meal!
Career guidance
With so many career options, prospective pre-tertiary students can feel overwhelmed. We understand that each student is unique and the importance of finding a path that aligns with their passion and interest. The program offers career counselling which guides students in exploring available options, identifying emerging trends and shift in the job market.
Tertiary Scholarships
After our graduates have completed the community service and gone through career guidance, they are enrolled in various universities. Our graduates pursue courses of choice as per qualification. The program offers 100% tuition scholarships to our graduates. Amazing! thanks to all our benefactors!
