CELEBRATION OF SCHOOL PATRON'S DAY-2025

On 29th June, we joyfully came together as a school community to celebrate St. Aloysius Gonzaga Day, a cherished annual tradition that reflects our shared faith, unity, and commitment to holistic education. The celebration was a vibrant blend of spiritual reflection, cultural expression, academic recognition, and strategic vision.

The day began with a deeply moving Holy Mass, the heart of our celebration, where the entire school gathered in prayer and thanksgiving. This year’s Mass was especially memorable as 19 students received the sacrament of baptism, publicly affirming their faith journey, and 5 students received their First Holy Communion, joining the table of the Lord for the first time. These sacred moments of grace and spiritual growth brought immense joy and were a powerful reminder of our school's strong Catholic identity and commitment to nurturing both the mind and the soul.

Following the Mass, the spirit of celebration continued with a range of student-led performances, including traditional dances, songs, spoken word, and skits, all paying tribute to the virtues of our patron, St. Aloysius Gonzaga—especially his purity, humility, and commitment to serving others. The creativity and passion displayed by the students added color and meaning to the day.

We were honored to welcome Hesbon Nyagaka as the Guest of Honour, who delivered a powerful keynote address centered on integrity, servant leadership, and academic ambition. His words left a lasting impression on both students and staff, challenging everyone to live with purpose and to be courageous in their pursuit of excellence.

A notable highlight of the celebration was the official launch of the 2025–2029 School Strategic Plan, a forward-looking document that outlines the institution’s key priorities over the next five years. With goals centered on academic performance, ICT advancement, infrastructure improvement, spiritual formation, and student support, the plan sets a strong foundation for innovation, sustainability, and holistic growth.

The day was also marked by multiple celebrations of student achievement. We proudly recognized 24 outstanding students who performed exceptionally well in their national exams, earning direct admission into Kenyan universities with full government scholarships. As a symbolic gesture of support, each student was gifted with a suitcase to prepare them for the next phase of their academic journey—an emotional and proud moment for the entire school community.

Another special recognition went to three brilliant students who emerged as winners in the Cedric Asiavugwa Memorial Essay Writing Competition. Their insightful writing honored Cedric’s legacy while showcasing the depth, clarity, and excellence that defines our learners. We continue to uphold a culture that celebrates both intellectual rigor and moral conviction.

In the spirit of global exchange and learning, our journalism students engaged in a unique virtual interaction with their peers from Regus High School in New York. Through interviews and discussions, they shared insights on education, culture, and youth aspirations, opening up new perspectives and strengthening cross-cultural bonds.

To crown the day, a delicious communal meal was shared by students, staff, alumni, and guests, reinforcing the sense of family and belonging that defines our community. Laughter, conversations, and memories filled the air, making it a truly unforgettable occasion.

The 29th of June remains more than just a date—it is a day where faith, achievement, and community spirit come alive. This year’s celebration of St. Aloysius Day reminded us of who we are, what we stand for, and where we are headed. It was a beautiful blend of reverence, joy, vision, and unity—an occasion we will treasure for years to come.
